I've left the best for last. After reviewing the Players Guide for Magnus Nygaard's Dogs of Hades , DOH: Characters and DOH: One Sheet adventures, I was finally ready to experience the Dogs of Hades RPG Sourcebook published by Savage Mojo as part of its Savage Suzerain Continuum.

This tome contains everything you need to adventure in or beyond Athena's Garden. The mythical beginnings, actual origins and unfolding history of this Ancient Greeks in outer space setting are generously provided. Character Creation, Weapons and Armor, Cultures: Barbarian and Greek, a detailed Gazeteer, beautiful Maps, NPCs and Monsters are thoroughly thought out, fully detailed and very well presented. And yes, the actual Olympians do play an active role in this Mythic Sci-Fi setting.

Though Dogs of Hades is often described as a very human game, and it is, I was delighted to discover that one can indeed become a Hero in the mythical sense.  It will take time, single-mindedness, motivation and dedication, but it is indeed possible.

For me, the Dogs of Hades campaign, in ten Verses, and the twenty Savage Tales are the high points in this volume. Each Verse or Tale may take several gaming sessions to complete, and all of them interrelate. If you contribute your own creativity to the mix and add the One Sheets, there's a good year's worth of adventure to be had!

I plan on spending as much time as I can in Athena's Garden. If you live in or near Bergen County New Jersey and wish to join me, please drop by the Cresskill Public Library on NJ Makers Day, Saturday March 25, 2017, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.  For more information, please click on the menu link on the left.

Onwards!
